Musicals Sing-Along

Saturday 28th February — 2:00 PM
An afternoon of favourite show tunes, friendly faces, and joyful singing. No experience needed — just enthusiasm.

 

March

Reunion Service & Lunch

Sunday 22nd March — 10:30 AM
A special service welcoming past members, friends, and anyone connected with our church family over the years. Followed by a shared lunch.

 

April

Solent Fellowship Band of the Salvation Army — Concert

Friday 24th April — 7:30 PM
An uplifting evening of brass music from this renowned local ensemble.

Christian Aid Quiz Night

Saturday 16th May — 7:00 PM
Bring a team or join one on the night. A fun evening supporting the vital work of Christian Aid.

 

June

Imerys Singers (Cornwall) — Concert

Saturday 27th June — 7:30 PM
Beautiful choral music from this celebrated Cornish choir.

Summer Fair on the Patio

Saturday 18th July — 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
Stalls, games, refreshments, crafts, and activities for all ages. A lively summer highlight in Bitterne.

 

August

Southern Fellowship of United Reformed Churches Lunch

Sunday 23rd August

A gathering of URC friends from across the south: Abbey, Avenue St Andrews, Bitterne,
Bitterne Park, Braishfield, and Isaac Watts. We will be sharing food, fellowship, and stories.

 

September

Saxophony — Concert

Saturday 26th September — 7:30 PM
A dynamic saxophone ensemble bringing a rich mix of classical, jazz, and contemporary music.

Jigsaw Puzzle Festival

Tuesday 27th – Saturday 31st October
Hundreds of completed puzzles on display and for sale, plus refreshments and a quiet space to browse. A much‑loved Bitterne URC tradition.

 

November

Barn Dance

Friday 20th November — 7:00 PM

A lively evening of music, dancing, and laughter. All welcome — no experience needed.

Christmas Tree Festival

A joyful celebration of creativity and community as local groups, schools, and organisations decorate trees throughout the church. A festive favourite to close our anniversary year.
