The Sanctuary

Our Sanctuary is a warm, open space designed to help everyone feel at ease — whether you’ve been to church many times or you’re visiting for the very first time.

At the front, the stage area holds the choir stalls, altar table and chairs, along with our drum kit, piano and church organ. This is where much of the service is led from, but you’re welcome to sit wherever feels comfortable.

The main body of the Sanctuary is arranged with comfortable chairs — including some with arms to support those who need assistance when standing. There’s also a small play area for children next to the sound desk, so families can relax knowing little ones have space to move and explore.

Because we use individual chairs rather than pews, the layout can be adapted for different services and seasons. At times, such as during Advent, we gather in a more intimate ‘round’ to create a sense of closeness and shared worship.

A movable divider at the rear can be opened to accommodate larger gatherings, allowing the Sanctuary to seat up to 250 worshippers. The space also includes a hearing loop, a projection system (with large‑print service materials available on request), and skylights that fill the room with natural light.

Whether you’re joining us out of curiosity, faith, or simply to find a moment of peace, you’ll find a space that’s welcoming, adaptable and ready to receive you.

Our Church Window

Our church window, created by artist Mark Angus of Bath, is rich with colour, symbolism and hope. Each element tells part of the story of God’s love and the life of Jesus, inviting us to pause, reflect and be encouraged.

  • The everlasting arms of God
Embracing the whole world with a love so deep that He gave His only Son.
  • The edge of a purple robe
A reminder of Christ’s majesty and kingship.
  • The empty, glorious cross
A symbol of forgiveness, resurrection and new life.
  • Three rising columns
Representing Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Living water, flames and a dove
Signs of the Holy Spirit’s presence, guidance and renewal.
  • The star of Bethlehem
Marking the beginning of the story — light breaking into the world.
  • Earth and Heaven intertwined
Linked through shades of blue and green, showing God’s nearness to His creation.

This window stands as a visual prayer: a reminder of God’s love, Christ’s story and the Spirit’s life-giving presence among us.
