Because of COVID, our total number of shoeboxes, at 7, was very diminished compared to previous years. On the plus side, several large bags of shoebox items were kindly donated, along with knitted teddy bears, hats and blankets and a fantastic total of £85 donated towards the charity’s travel costs. A very big thank you to everyone who donated boxes, items or money, and to Celia and any others who did the wonderful knitting.During recent months Bitterne United Reformed Church has been displaying a rainbow as a tribute to the NHS and all the key workers who continue to support us during these difficult times. This week our words are ‘Keep our Faith Strong’.
